Have Fun & Stay Safe!

All the best chefs have an assistant to help them out! If you're young or new to cooking, ask an adult to be your Assistant Chef while you attend Great Bake Off classes or try new recipes.

A trustworthy adult can come in handy to keep you safe and make cooking easier.

Before you start cooking, get an adult's permission to work in the kitchen. Remember: if your recipe requires the use of knives, the stovetop, or other kitchen appliances, you must have adult supervision. A grown-up supporting you as your Assistant Chef can help you avoid surprises, stay safe, and have fun while you cook!
